HKS IDLE CONTROL ISSUE
Hi Guys
I got some good replies in another thread so hoping for the same here. I'm a new Scoobi Man & just turned to the dark side.... I have on my Impreza WRX import a HKS Idle control box in the glove box & my engine light is constantly flashing 4 long & 2 short flashes. I was told it was because of this by the previous owner 24 Idle air control sensor (usually running too fast/slow) Is this right???? It is set to idle at 1500 constantly and I guess this could be the reason but why would you leave it running. Would it be the Lambo sensor thats causing it???? Can it be got rid of???? Should I be worrying???? PLEASE HELP GUYS JON |
think code 24 is a generic idle control problem
never heard of an hks idle control box tho? quite common is the idle control valve - can be cleaned out or replaced as required. |
