The end of Saab!
BBC News - GM to 'wind down' Saab business
I suppose the brand hasn't been great for some time, but it's still sad in a way as it's history goes back a long way, and its been quite innovative. |
Cheap new cars coming up ;)
Had a 9-3 aero convertible in the other day for a clean, and i thought it looked quite nice in bright red, although i don't think i am the ragtop kind Not sure if it had some kind of dealer/factory bodykit on it, but the bumpers looked quite deep. |
Read some of the comments on Pistonheads. Some of the reasons people give for Saab's demise are probably correct.

SAAB lost it's edge when GM took it over, sad really as the pre GM cars were rather good.

Sorry to see them go, lot of good history behind them. They made good aircraft too.

At least GM are doing it the noble and proper way in winding it down and paying off the debts. Instead of running it into the ground, leaving a load of debts and creditors like the Pheonix bunch did with MG-Rover.....

Will be some stonking cracking deals on nearly new SAAB Convertibles in the Spring!
