AST Settings?

Hi All,

Can anyone let me know what they have there AST damper settings at front and back etc. no of clicks would be great!

IIRC someone posted suggested settings from Powerstation on here a while ago. Think they said as follows (I may be wrong):

Clicks from soft
1. Comfortable road use 4F 2R
2. Track 11F 9R

For a short trip to track I leave them on the hard setting above but need my fillings replaced afterwards. I find only 4 at the front makes the turn in a bit wallowy.

Front two more than rear.
For me F6 R4.
That's what the guy at Powerstation recommended.
Seems good in wet and dry.

When mine were set up at powerstation Curtis advised on 7 clicks front and 5 clicks rear.......

Are the settings from 0 as in wound completly to the "-" sign then turn number of clicks to the right "+"?

At the moment, front and back are completly to the left "-". Will the right clicks make a big differance?

Clockwise is to stiffen......just to add my settings are on 50/40 springs.

Unwind anti clockwise (to the -) to the stop.
This is 0 and is softest setting.
There are four clicks to each turn, so 4 clicks will be turned in one full rotation and six clicks would be one and a half full turns clockwise (from 0) etc etc.
Clockwise turns will stiffen up the shocks and you should notice it(2 clicks at any rate).
Try 6 on front and 4 on rear and give it a go would be my advice.

So I just turn them say front 6 clicks clockwise and the rears 4 clicks clockwise?

Cheers will do, will it make a big difference from what its set at now, all set to 0?

apac 17 December 2009 07:37 PM

7 front
5 rear

harder than that on the road and the ride becomes very taught and bouncy, a bit nauseating if in the wrong mood, but if in the right mood on a dry warm day its lots of fun. On the track up to 11F, 9R.

I did them all up tight once and after about 5 minutes of driving i stopped, pulled over and reversed the car and all the coilovers made some very ugly noises, so i quickly turned them down a bit. Not sure is you are supposed to do them up completely tight.

Yeah, well give us a report - I reckon it will be ten times as good.
Do you have the type 25 set up with ALK and beefed up anti roll bars?
