putting frozen windows in, in the snowy sleet this morning wasn't a barrel of laughs, but a bit of banter and a hot coffee made it more tolerable :)

roll on more snow !!!

spally 16 December 2009 05:15 PM

Yer, why is it always the cold day I have to drain down the heating system and re work it. Strange how quickly you can work when you need to get the heating back on! :D

Cornelius 16 December 2009 06:32 PM

Spent most of the afternoon changing the diesel injectors in one of our company vans!

My director even came down and made me a coffee!

Will be taking my thermal overalls in tomorrow.

ScoobyMaz 16 December 2009 06:55 PM

I have a boat coming in at the Isle of Grain at midnight tonight, to say I am not looking forward to it is an understatement! :(

Nurse Gladys 16 December 2009 08:01 PM

Some charming policemen decided to put up a road block directly outside our house last night (we think to breathalise drivers) and had two LARGE spotlights shining directly on the front of our house until midnight.

It was like daylight in the bedroom. :brickwall

To say I was not happy is an understatement - but I did get some pleasure out of knowing how cold it was outside last night!

Stupid thing is, we live in a small village and there isn't a great deal of traffic at night.....:cuckoo:

This time last year I was doing maintenance work at the tower next to Barclays at Canary Wharf, on the 16th floor with no windows - it was like a wind tunnel!

I reckon all these pen pushers should try the building game this time of year ;) :D

Cornelius 17 December 2009 10:20 PM

Talk about freaky weather, it's snowing, with thunder and lightning throw in for good measure!!

I wonder if his "state of the art equipment" is the old guy at the office who has a tingly feeling in his knee when snow is coming?? I guess his knee must have broke?

"Take no notice

I don't think Mr D quite appreciates how much mileage can be had from the above statement.... and the 'Take no notice' in bold, has just mad me nearly wet myself :)

We do have a laugh in this club !!!

enjoy the white stuff (snow not coke by the way)
