It's Offical, Senna The Greatest Of All Time

This of course just confirmed what I already knew!

Fook statistics, Senna IS the Greatest - and his peers confirm it

Yes Neil Love him or hate him Schumacher has statisticly the best record.
Personally the level these guys are at my total respect goes to them all. well nearly all. :luxhello: :D

Sorry Neil it`s Ark replying.

Simon, I know the statistics. but this is about being the Greatest which is of course an opinion.

However if he does return next year and can still cut it, I may be forced to review my opinion. Damon Hill is quoted in the Times as this being an opportunity for him to show he is a nice guy after all. And that from a man that had a championship stolen from him

Quasi Modo 12 December 2009 06:10 PM

They could share it?

Rossi and Stoner at Laguna Secca:notworthy

Didn't follow F1 at the time but I was at college at the time and my best mate's girlfriend broke down in tears when Senna died

If the majority of the top drivers voted Senna to be the greatest in their opinion then Senna must of been real special and it was a very sad day when he lost his life. It would of been great to see his career develope and we`ll never realise his full potential.
You mention Damon Hill he was a great test driver and could win from pole everytime but give him someone to overtake and oh dear it nearly always went wrong  Just my opinion of course. ;) :thumb:

Very sad indeed, and for certain Schumi's record would not have been as good if Senna had have continued. Hell if a 'test' driver could only be beaten in the Williams by a cheating German, what would Senna have been able to do in that car?

Arkwright 13 December 2009 02:12 PM

I remember a race where senna and prost were on the front row. Prost only had to not finish and Senna won the championship. Both drivers did`nt get past the first corner. :wonder:
I believe when you have fought all season for a championship and it comes down to the wire most of the top drivers will do anything to take the crown. I know I would. :D
Some teams even ask their driver to crash so the other team mate can win one race. :thumb:
Political Mire IMHO :norty: :D

Senna was indeed a wonderful talent and although I also0 think he is the greatest, it's amazing how we forget/forgive how much he 'cheated' (Suzuka taking Prost off in the final race amongst many others) and yet chastise Schumacher for similar acts.

Re the Hill/Schuey comments. I'm sure you all remember Spa when Schumacher out drove Hill in a far inferior Bennetton on slicks when it was raining and Hill was on wets in a superior Williams. Just one example...

That said, he is a cheating German and I don't like him. Hill is a true gent. :D
