Daily Mail Top Gear Fail...

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz...ated-fake.html

Top Gear stunt in which airship flew over airport exposed as a carefully orchestrated fake.

Well, no Sh*t Sherlock.

Some of the reader comments are hilarious:

And so the BBC spin continues.

Is this corporation able to tell the truth about anything?

I think, as do many others I know, that they should be 'cut adrift' from public funding and see how long they survive on their own.

It is time that they financed themselves and not take money, in the form of a licence fee, from the public they constantly try to fool.

Shame on everyone involved in this duplicity.
:cuckoo::lol1:

and this..

I must admit it looked quite fake. It's a shame - I love Top Gear. But if you can't trust what you seeing then you lose faith in the whole programme.
 :lol1:

How on earth could anyone have watched that and thought for a minute it was anything other than a fake! I mean, do they really think the BBC would allow a makeshift floating caravan to stray into the flight path of an active airport. Paaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahlease!

hodgy0_2 03 December 2009 01:38 PM

i have heard that even the watches are fake

oldsplice 03 December 2009 01:43 PM

Even I didn't think it was real, and I'm a girly! :cuckoo:

I find it so hard to actually pay attention to the articles on the daily mail because the articles down the right hand side usually have some bird with not much on or some saucy gossip.

Luminous 03 December 2009 02:51 PM

What I don't get is why they fake so much of Top Gear. The best bits of Top Gear have always been believable. You can set ppl up to fail, but let them fail for real. Like racing the airship up the country if the wind is blowing the wrong way and have a laugh at him. A bit like James May was left floundering in the channel crossing episode.

C'mon, everyone even knows that a star in a reasonably priced car doesn't go round the

track!! Just a few corners and theytake a piece of paper out of the hat with

the time on it!

Some silly suggestions coming out now such as the Stig is actually a person and doesn't live in a White Racing suit with a helmet on and has a voice.

I can't believe that at all though.

I'm too busy laughing to slate the Fail yet again.
What a bunch of spacktards.
Astraboy.

Top Gear fake some of these things? Phew, that's a bloody relief - I can stop driving around inisting that the wife permanently has her head out of the passenger window looking and waiting for a piano to drop from the sky...

However, Top Gear is getting pretty silly these days and if they DO EVER ACTUALLY show something that viewers are expected to take as real, or take seriously, then that is when the true FAIL will come...

...until then - enjoy the entertainment on a Sunday night, or turn over.

The comments are better than the actual story:)

SunnySideUp 03 December 2009 07:30 PM

They fake it better than my missus does!!! ;) :lol1:

On page 4 you'll find a comment from a certain Clare M from Northampton.

I really think the Daily Mail dumb down for their audience! Perhaps this has given them a wake up call :)
