Valve that allows air though but not a liquid?

Hi guys.

Need a valve that allows air through but stops liquids from passing through please.

i know there's Air by-pass valves for cars but they're massive as i'm after something a lot smaller

For what application?

You can get air traps which are fitted to compressed air systems that allow condensation to escape but then seal against the air.

An air bypass valve on a car lets air bypass the throttle butterfly, nothing to do with liquids :)

Just buy a cheap moisture/water trap for a compressor, they keep the oil and water from the tank away from the air supply.

I would have thought that a valve that can do that can't be cheap.

Thread from teh dead! :lol1:

Anyhoo; Automatic bleeder/vent. Found on most central heating boilers. http://www.screwfix.com/p/bottle-air-vent-15mm/34359

They often fail and leak after 5-6 years though.

Or a compressed air water trap - you can get them with automatic drains.

+1 for anus...the most intelligent organ in your body, can tell the difference between solid, liquid and gas BEFORE it passes through!
