Reference Current Site Low performance

Internet Brands are experiencing network problems. Please bear with them while they resolve the problem.

As part of the implementation of the resolution you may have encountered some issues with the site and its functionality (slow speed, server time outs etc.), IB are working through each of those items, and if you come across an issue, if you could please post it in the help forum to ensure that we have seen it, it would be appreciated.

We have been (and continue to) work around the clock until all the issues are resolved, our apologies for the inconvenience.

Back up to speed now, well done chaps, I dare say you'll need a broom to sweep up the hairy bits around your swivel chairs..

Most issues are now resolved after installation of some hardware to block the DDOS attacks. Early on Thursday last week (PST) all our websites encountered such an attack and while our network is setup to handle very substantial traffic (it deals with over 50 million visitors and 650 million page views each month), as has been seen by other large internet sites (Twitter, Facebook, Google et. al.) such a large scale attack will cause connection difficulties regardless of what some IT trained members on here would have you believe... ;)

In this we were no different, and it wasn’t until sometime on the weekend where we were able to implement a successful resolution to the issue. We spent a significant amount of time with our service providers to identify solutions to help mitigate this attack and have put in place significant amount of hardware to filter out the traffic.

For security purposes, we have been instructed not to provide more in-depth information beyond this but please rest assured that our databases were never impacted and that no information was breached.
