Started to do myself a nice inlet mani, few pics

Hey guys, after getting hold of a nice posh samco inlet pipe i thought since ive got to remove my inlet mani fo fit it i may aswell build myself a nice one so thought id take a few pics as i go. Looked at a few peoples on here and they look great.
Here is a pics after id stripped it down and gave it a good clean.

that looks amazing mate, looks like i will be out with the spanners and the paint to make mine look something like(hopefully)!!!! great job, well done.

cheers for the comments guys.
Big t5- go for it mate get stuck in. I brought a spare mani so my car didnt have to be off the road. Pleanty of prep work to get things clean is the key i recon. And to anyone who is wanting to buy the frost paint but is a bit scared by the recent things that have been said about them changeing it, just to let you know i was a bit worried about how the colour would turn out but mine is fine :thumb:

cheers mate. Will be a few weeks bafore i tackle fitting it yet, im prety handy with my spanners so wont be a problem that way, will just be scared of getting it dirty haha. Im looking forward to getting the old one off because im goin to use it as a project one, am thinking larger pipes coming off the flanges to a bigger plenium chamber and reversed inlet ready for when i fit a fmic and get a remap. Will make sure i get pics up of that one as i go along.

Looks good dude.

type-ellis 14 November 2009 09:56 PM

personally mate id say get stuck in. It all depends how confidant you are. No one has ever taught me ive just got stuck in and done things, its only nuts and bolts at the end of the day. I appricaiate some people dont see it that way and find it a bit harder than others. I would advise getting a spare one if you want to do it, that way you can take your time with it and dont have to worry about haveing it off your car for too long. A rush job wouldnt look good so just take your time and you should get the results you want :thumb:
