PS3 Playstation Store titles
Just got myself a PS3 phat on the cheap. It was cheap because it dosn't read any discs, game or films. I'm not complaining though, I've got to be the only PS3 owner thats not bothered about playing games on it.
Although I'd like a little bash on a couple of titles, and hear you can download full games. I had a little mess around late last night, and only grabbed a few demos. So my question is, can you buy and download full titles, any titles? |
Yes, there are lots of full games you can download.
Some of them are very good, some not so good. The ones I have dowloaded are: Rub a Dub (don't ask) Pain Wipeout HD Battlefield 1943 Zombie something or other Last Guy You can also download PS One games too, but they tend to be a bit crap. I notice that the full verison of the original Call of Duy is available for download now too, so it's not just short little games you can get. I also have a shed load of demos on there as they keep the kids entertained as well. This is undoubtedly the way things are going to go in the future, so I'm not sure which model of PS3 you have got, but I replaced the HDD in mine with a 320GB one so I could download with impunity ;) Hope that helps Geezer |
There are some full retail games to download too, but a limited selection. Burnout Paradise is one I recall.

I have the 40gb, but looking to upgrade soon, but maybe not. If the full games are not decent titles, I may aswell replace the lens so I can just buy games.
Why are the full titles limited? Is it a size thing? I would have thought you could download all of them. |
By limited, I mean there isn't very many of them - full retail titles for download that is. I think its more of a selection to see if it takes off.
