Coilover question

This is probably a very stupid question but I'm having a set of Tein Super Streets fitted next week which will obviously lower my car, not slammed but less than the current set up.

When I have rear passengers and luggage in the boot say for instance when I'm going on my hols the rear suspension sits quite low. As my car will be lower this will obviously be an issue.

My questions is, to combat this will I need to alter the rear suspension settings to a more firmer setting so that there is not much travel in the rear suspension?

It may be obvious but this is really a genuine question as I don't know..... :wonder:

Thanks in advance

Tein suggests a 25mm drop for a classic and 30mm for a new age IIRC, so it's not slammed! It shouldn't be an issue at all. Generally you want to run firmer at the front than the rear. 10 front and 13 rear used to work well for me..

They go lower if you like, but too low is not advisable!

don't forget you can't change "firmness" only the preload which increases static rear ride height). Damping can stop bottoming out though over bumps if you adjust compression upwards. Too much rebound though and it could "jack down"

You can just raise the car by (x) turns on the rear spring mounts for the holiday, and return them to the original setting after....
