Having only got one key and remote for my scooby the other being lost by a previous owner so say. Im a bit worried there is a set of keys possibly floating around out there, whats the best way to improve the cars security ?

If your car has the standard sigma alarm,you may be able to:
A. update to a newer version(s30,s31)
B. If your alarm has the keypad in the glovebox,change the 4 digit pin,and then get an alarm specialist to activate the key pad.If someone has got a set of keys and finds your car,they can gain entry,but will need the pin to start it.
C. Buy a new alarm system
I have the keypad feature on my alarm ,but not activated it as like most people i like to just get in the car and drive ,not be reaching in the glovebox everytime i want to drive off.

Personally would not bother unless you bought the car locally

Failing that , you could by an autolock steering wheel lock, I have one of these as well as my sigma s30 alarm immobilizer. They cost around £80-£100 and are virtually indestructible and thatcham approved. Once again it won't stop someone entering your car, but at least they won't be able to drive off.:thumb:
