My blobeye wagon

Just a quick one to show how my blobeye wagon is getting on.

Treated it to some goodies at the scoobie clinic the other day and its now running 301bhp with hopefully a bit more soon when i get my fmic and intake pipe on.

My friend who is quite handy with a camera (and a soon to be scooby owner) decided it was time to get out and get some decent pics taken so here they are! All comments welcome :)

Very nice mate, don't see many blob wagons.
Maybe detango the front lights and get tints on rear windows :thumb:

jon_wrx_racing 06 November 2009 10:23 PM

Yeah good idea, is there a guide on de-tangoing? If i'm feeling brave i may have ago at it!

its fairly easy mate, if you're half handy with a screwdriver you'll be ok, take your time, take care not to touch the in side of the glass, 10 - 15 mins in the oven at 100 degrees and it will come apart nicely, get some additional sealant to ensure it is fully sealed up when you put back together :thumb:

Lovely looking wagon mate, def get it de-tangoed (it's not as hard as it sounds and i used a heat gun instead of the oven) and maybe remove the roof rails

When I have a free minute i will have a go at de tangoing.

I have to say grandy that wagon looks beautifull. I would really to remove the rails but i have looked before for roof strips to cover the wholes left.

I only asked the other day at scooby clinic and they said it couldnt be done, which i thought was odd as i have seen wagons without them.

Sorry but Scooby Clinic know sod all then :lol1: , i got all the bits needed from Subaru and i have all the part numbers if you do decide to do it, took me about 3 hours but that was taking it easy :)

There are a few pics of whats involved in my Project Thread

jon_wrx_racing 07 November 2009 09:24 PM

Would be wonderful if you had the part numbers would make it a lot easier for me. Are the parts expensive? Its something i have wanted to do since i had had the car but worried about strips and damaging the head lining.
Are there any meets you go to as i wouldnt mind seeing your wagon? (trying not to sound gay!)

Jon
