Ver 5 Type R tyre size?

I've got a set of original wheels for my Type R. What size tyres are they supposed to have? They are the 16" 5 spoke sti wheels.

No.

That was to the point thanks!
Just thought a 225/45/16 maybe better for the rear!

45 on a 16 inch rim will be the wrong rolling radius and 225 may rub on a classic.

Why?

225/45 r 16 is almost exact rolling radius as 205/50. I have 225/45 RS2's on mine and they don't rub with coilovers. Also Yoko A048's and Toyo 888's don't come in 205/50 and both come in 225/45. The Ao48s don't rub on OE wheels and suspension.

However, on the road I go for 205/50's

Its really best if you dont mix sizes on scoobs as it can put undue strain on the running gear, ie diffs.

Tony:)
