Which suspension upgrade?
Had my Hawkeye STI a few years now and the only modification i've done suspension wise is replace the standard springs with Prodrive ones.
What would be your ONE next step to improve the handling without spending silly money? Cheers all :) |
Uprated rear ARB and droplinks (or front and rear) This will massively improve the handling without any noticable effect on ride quality (just make sure you grease the bushes regularly!). Rear is an easy self fit, front is doable but a bit fiddly with all the bits you need to take off to fit it (e.g undertray and U beam).
Do you have a fast road Geo setup as well e.g Prodrive setting from a reputable garage who know Scoobs (you may need camber bolts on the rear here £25 or so)? |

I've had my Geo set at Mocom but did state i didn't want a silly set-up that would wear my tyres out quickly so it may be a tad conservative compared to some. I'm a bit of a nonce when it comes to working on things like this so would probably get the garage to do the ARB / droplinks. Any idea what sort of labour is involved if i had front and rear done - a guesstimate is ok! :thumb: |
If they know scoobs should be under an hour if not maybe 2 but any more and they're taking the piss! Only 4 bolts for the rear!

It'd be the local Subaru dealer so they SHOULD know :wonder: |
Around £270 for a 24mm adjustable rear bar with solid droplinks fitted
