That maybe because this is a suburu owners club forum. If it was gough.is.a.crook.com it would have plenty of life members.

Anyone in any doubt can contact Geoff Murley at Sussex Trading Standards.

The pile of metal he sold me is available for inspection too.

Would it not be better to add his contact details? Hopefully all that have had issues can then easily contact him.

Do you have phone number of Geoff murley please

Hi all, thanks for the replies. There's been some development but probably best not to publicise it yet in case it has an adverse effect on proceedings. However, if you're reading this Mr G, good luck - you might need it! :)

If any of you have more evidence (particularly breaches of the law), please PM me.

Incidentally, does anyone know how to get an official real-world valuation on a Cat C car?!

Thanks all!

Glad to see things are moving along.

As for a real world value on a Cat C. TBH i dont think there is really. Probably something along the lines of retail value - 30% if repaired to a decent standard.

Information needed

Hi all,
I am a reporter for the East Grinstead Courier & Observer. I know this thread is slightly old, and no-one has posted for a while.
But I am interested in running a story on all the issues. I'm so sorry to read all of the problems that have been caused, but I hope by publishing a story then at least local residents will be aware of past dealings.
Please feel free to email me at gemma.angell@essnmedia.co.uk

Thank you!

PHAT C 18 July 2012 07:19 PM

ive only just read all of this, someone should put him out of business permantly so he cant sell another THING
also think the bloke with the mini should be counting his lucky stars, sounds like he got off lightly compared to the rest ;)

Essexdon 18 July 2012 11:47 PM

Sounds a right old Del Boy.

Well Done !!

PHAT C 29 July 2012 01:44 PM

still not enough imo, his ripped off so many people for much more money than that. and if he can get 17 cars on his drive that must be one big house

HuntingPeterGough 29 July 2012 04:39 PM

I agree, but it's a start.

It is indeed a big house, worth over £1m. However it's about to be repossessed, and there are various charging orders listed on it which will be paid before Gough gets anything - if there's any equity left after the mortgage company get their money.

Spec'c'57 30 July 2012 01:36 PM

Agreed its good news but i bet he will pop up again somewhere. :(
