Before....a nice clean version 4..my theory was to start with a nice car rather than a dog!

will be watching this, to see the end result. do you plan on doing any engine work to this or just the body work?

J@Scoobybits 05 November 2009 09:56 AM

Just light mods

J@Scoobybits 05 November 2009 10:00 AM

Very yello paul..get some exterior shots up..made few mods to the kit on the white one, I am resisting going mad with it engine wise...save that for my next project ;-)

Bealescooby 05 November 2009 01:52 PM

was gonna do this to mine , was gonna cut the rear quarter up aswell , to get rid of weight and be able to get wide wheels on , whats ur plans on the rear

Oi now don't start dissing the old type r, that is still one of my favorite scoobys of all time!!
Just wish you had sold it me, I would have part ex'd Jodie to have had that car(don't tell her I said that)

keep us all updated mate

J@Scoobybits 08 February 2010 08:59 PM

Well its done almost...12 months mot to arrange and still needs a polish...but a few nice pics here
SUBARU IMPREZA Sti Type r 22b style wide arched, on eBay (end time 06-Mar-10 08:34:29 GMT)

trackcar 08 February 2010 10:10 PM

dont like it, hasnt got the 22b front or rear bumpers so doesnt look anything like it should.

sorry

John2.5RS 09 February 2010 12:42 AM

Looks okay with stock bumpers, it would look better with proper units. ;)

J@Scoobybits 09 February 2010 07:36 AM

I prefer the v6 ones, easy enough for me to change them to 22b style if someone wanted them the hard works been done!

stevie1982 09 February 2010 09:33 AM

nice work Jay looks a quality finish to. sort of understand where the guys are coming from but if it were meant to be a 22b copy sureley it would need to be painted in the blue. leave it as is IMO and as you say the new owner could always change the bumpers if they wished although 11k is a big ticket for a standard type r with some wide arches but that is just my view but best of luck with the sale, i think someone is going to get a very tidy car at the end of the day.

also what size alloy and offset are you running to fill those arches?

a little off subject but what would you charge to fit the fit and have it sprayed to match the original colour, pm me iff you wish

cheers and best of luck

Moley 09 February 2010 10:12 AM

I really like that

J@Scoobybits 10 February 2010 07:34 AM

Tbh it is a minter of a type r pre conversion
It was done without a budget and as such we spent a fair but of time on it,
I have a few little jobs to do before it is totally done, still wants a polish, I am going to remove the airbag wheel I think and will put 12 months MOT and tax on it for new owner.
Priced high expecting part ex, its cheaper outright purchase.

malcs scooby 10 February 2010 08:23 AM

looks nice mate but agree needs the 22b bumpers

J@Scoobybits 10 February 2010 08:07 PM

belliott69 10 February 2010 09:09 PM
