Can anybody help me???
I've had my STi3 for a week now (bought from garage).
I took it back yesterday - the engine mis-fires especially during damp mornings. In normal conditions its ok most of the time with occasional splutter. Is it the plugs/leads? I'm running on S'Unleaded.
Also, I can here a wheel bearing-type noise during slow driving. Is this normal?

I took it in yesterday to get the problems solved. The noise turned out to be a diff problem.

Having picked the car up i was dissapointed to find that it still spluttered and the diff noise remained. In addition to this the car now vibrates on hard accelaration.

The garage admitted to only cleaning the leads rather than replacing. They say they replaced part of the front diff and i can only assume the vibration is caused by incorrect fitting...

Its now going back on Monday but in the mean time if any of you guys could shed any further light on my probs it would be much appreciated

Thanks and happy motoring.

Transmission problems could be expensive to fix so the garage won't be too keen to spend a fortune putting it right.

If the engine is misfiring as well, I'd consider rejecting the car and asking for your money back. If you keep it, it'll spend more time at the garage than with you.

I guess these problems weren't apparent on a test-drive?

You could always get the AA to check it out (for a fee).
