Fitting Guide?
Am a self confessed n00b when it comes to working on cars but i've recently acquired a set of BC coilovers on a group buy (:thumb: Bren :thumb:) and i want to get them on my newage asap.
Does a fitting guide exist anywhere so that i don't make too many fcuk ups and waste time undoing bits i don't need to when i install them??? |
hmm i wrote a quick thing once. ill see if i can find it.
Its dead easy tho mate. Just need alignment doing afterwards, and if u can afford it a corner weighting. Basically...on the front... Compress the spring, undo 3 nuts on stut top. undo two bolts on hub. Remove. Fitting is the reverse. Rear is the same. It can be a bit of a git to get bits aligned up, but just sturggle and ull get there. U need to do some things to the coilovers before you fit them tho. Preload the springs and ensure they are set to the same ride height, rear-rear, and front-front. Probably best to shuv them on with factory ride height untill u are happy when them then mess with the ride height. |
here u go.
https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension...mpression.html Thing is mate, they are dead easy to fit. But a pain to setup correctly if ur like me and never done it before and dont have any fancy gauges or even a flat floor. |
