info on arches please as i love that look

powerwrx 17 October 2009 05:11 PM

love that...if only i had spare money

Bockett 17 October 2009 05:15 PM

Guys are you two under the assumption it's a wide arch kit????

It's standard arches and i don't think they changed on the Prodrive Edition?

They have been rolled which generates a slight pull on the arch and the wide wheels might make it look wider.

Here's a pic of me next to Budgie. Exactly the same wheel but you can see the difference. Mine lost the poke out of the arch when they got rolled/pulled + the negative camber :(

DaveBeck 17 October 2009 05:18 PM

no i wondered if you had them rolled as im looking at putting spacers on mine but worried about arch rub.

does it cost much to roll?

Bockett 17 October 2009 05:26 PM

Ok cool.

Around £100 ish for all four. They won't guarantee the paint won't crack and my front's only got rolled about 45 degree's as he feared the wing would flex if he went further.

DaveBeck 17 October 2009 05:31 PM

Cheers mate

Bockett 17 October 2009 05:36 PM

Dave what wheels on what car have you got?

If you run spacers be careful about the tyre size. I'm running a stretched tyre to help eliminate rubbing on the arch and i also trimmed my arch liner.

When i dropped it further I cut 2 slits in the liner to release the tension this helped the severity of the rub and when it did the liner bounced off the tyre.

I looked where it had been rubbing on the liner and cut that bit out.

Problem solved
