Fog Light Cover Ram Air Hose

I'd like to add a Air intake pipe from the fog light cover of my 05 STI, several sizes are about but would like to see what one looks best and where you have put them, before I commit and start drilling holes in the covers:nono:
This was what I was thinking of, not all 3 holes, just either one big one on the left or 2 smaller ones on the right

Thanks

think the 2 small ones would be difrent but you want the maximum air flow so points towards the larger one>>

i think all three would look good, mirror it on both sides

The 2 holes are a GRD Racing idea, its part of their air flow mod. I guy on SIDC has added a WRX fod light unit but with no light in it, looks good, now have to see if I can find any for sale, god know what they cost new?

But interested to see what other people have done, seen some with the shiney pipe trumpets things fitted, like them.

Fog surrounds are cheap from the dealer, it's only the covers that are expensive

I got a ram scoop thingy from ebay for a fiver, about 3" diameter, I removed a fog light and put it in the fog light cover. Then used some aluminium hose to connect to the airbox after the snorkle was removed.

The two small air holes are pointless unless they are connected. Keep your Fog Cover tidy and store it, buy a fog surround and go for ducting to the airbox connection.:thumb: Make sure whatever ducting you go for, make sure it's secure in its location.

The other option as far as I see it is de- snorkeling the intake and using the front intake which is arguably more efficient and further away from puddles;) and water spray. Modify this to run direct to the air box connection, without deviation through the convoluted snorkel piping.

If it's the look you like you can always do the fog cover and vent it to the brakes.:) They look good but I prefer the OEM intake mod as it's just makes more mechanical sense to me.:thumb:

Darren have a look at the pics in my profile i managed to squeeze a 90mm hose through the gap behind the foglinght cover. Got all the bits i needed from Ebay. If you need any help let me know. I've even got the right size hole cutter somewhere
