Yep, genuine ones aren't cheap though. You might be better getting some ebay ones if spraying ?

G-Man1982 13 October 2009 10:54 PM

dont care if there genuine tbh.. just want them in the holes. number plate going 1 side and other side will be inducted for the Apexi. :)

53 13 October 2009 11:01 PM

Looking +/- £50 on ebay for genuine with brackets.

Wouldn't bother going ram air intake for the apexi, remove the left bonnet rubber for extra flow, enough air gets lobbed at the cone from the everso drafty fit and finish of the car anyway. Far better to shield the cone from the engine bay to reduce stationary hotness.

Number plates are 8x11" on mine IIRC.:thumb:

really?? hmmm mite leave it then. yeh i made a sheild on my old motor to stop heat soak from turbo .... like so...

was thinking of doing 1 for the scoob.

you know of any templates on here or i got to use my brain again!! lol

Yep. If your car had a grille mounted intake like the New Age ones do you can reinstate it but cut to aim at the cone too.

No matter, the blow though will still occur, would just add some extra force.

Classic engine bays are so drafty lol.

This is mine and over the left head lamp you remove the bonnet rubber.:thumb:

53 13 October 2009 11:52 PM

If you have a splitter should be plenty of room not to have to move it to the fog.

G-Man1982 13 October 2009 11:55 PM

how much of the bottom of your bumper did you remove to fit your FMIC?? did you remove any of the painted bit where the bottom of the fmic meets the bumper?? i only ask as bolting the sides up on the bumper it seemed a little to tight, i only trimmed my bumper up to the painted part.

Got a pair of the other style of prefacelift covers. They're more of a push fit. Mine are in white primer. £15 collected if you want them?
