Which speakers?

Can you please recommend what speakers you would replace the original scoob ones with in the front of a bugeye.
Type of music I listen to most is RnB and Dance so I like plenty of clear bass.
Looking to spend upto £150 for speakers and also a bit on top to get the doors sound proofed.
Is it best to soundproof all 4 doors or just the 2 front doors?

:notworthy

Alot of scoob owners tend to use infinity components 6.5 inch, i have some in mine and gotta say they do sound good. U will need some spacers which can be bought off ebay. You cant buy speakers that will go straight in.Theyre an odd size.

Look at this thread and read my post.
Have a bugeye myself, you just need some glue to prevent the screws vibrating loose.

thats a good link to keep in mind, thanks.

Scoobyn, do you have the model number of the infinty components please so i can have a look at them?

dazdavies 13 October 2009 01:48 PM

Steven,

You'll not go far wrong with some Focal components. Having owned both I can say the Focal's will murder the infinity speakers in everyway.

stevenuk300 still 15 October 2009 10:08 PM

Thanks.
Any particular ones which I should look for?

Scoobyn 16 October 2009 01:19 PM

Hi i think the model number is something like 6500cs ive had em a long time so not completely sure.
I agree with the above Focals ARE the daddy, however that also reflects in the price!!!!

Have a look at CDT audio and massive audio there amazing for quality and very well priced cheaper than focal and better in my opinion

If you can afford them get Focal K2's 16.5's. Amp them up properly and they will transform your audio. You will need adaptors though.

Scoobyn 19 October 2009 09:55 PM

got some spare new adaptors if u need some?

stevenuk300 still 21 October 2009 12:31 PM
