See my garage for newage with Prodrive springs and 18" rims. The springs drop it around 30mm I think.

Meallbhan 09 October 2009 07:29 PM

Cheers Matt, no problems wotsoever mate. Just took the standard springs off and put on the Teins.

No cutting of the stops was required.

mattchew 10 October 2009 09:46 AM

sweeet lol, and you hae had no problems with the handling now? its not larry on b roads and bumpy back roads like?

cheers buddy

Meallbhan 10 October 2009 10:44 AM

Its stiffer than standard thats for sure but the ride is very good and not harsh at all. The handling has been transformed too, I also have a Whiteline ALK fitted and had the suspension geo rest to suit which you need done anyway when lowering your car. I had eibachs on my last car (which I hear are the same as the prodrive springs, or very similar) and the ride was virtually the same as the Teins are.

It depends how bad the B roads are, some of the roads where my parents stay I have to drive slower coz they're sinking into the peat and you just get thrown, but these are a nightmare aanyway!

The ALK reduced understeer and with the lowering springs its a nice setup, just need to sort the back end out now with an anti-roll bar and droplinks.

Jonny.
