6D ECU swap to Z4 ECU, plug and play?

Hello.
I am driving a LHD MY96 Impreza Turbo 555 Saloon.
I am living in Germay.
My ECU is a 6D (green Sticker).
Can i install a Z4 ECU to have a little more Power?
Is it plug and play?
Is it for same MAF, Injectors and so on?
What Fuel i have to drive with the Z4? 95 or 98 Octane?
Is there a 180kmh Speed-Limiter in the Z4??

Thanks for answers

z4 is for a td05,380cc injectors, green label MAF (not sure though if that means the same for import and Euro imprezas),98 RON is fine.

Limiter isn't on the ecu.

Think a couple of ecu pins may need to be swapped over though (crank and cam sensor i think).

You could always speak to Scott T at www.polarperformance.co.uk as he does do a generic map chip for early imprezas.Plenty of people have used them on here and have got good results but it is a generic map so results do vary.

dont know about my injector size, but yes its a TD05 and green MAF.

i dont see why this wont work? lots of people have run a pre 96 jap wrx ecu in a pre 96 uk car. i dont think there is any difference between euro and uk.

UK/Aus/Euro ECU's V7, 7D and 6D - 11.47psi, dropping to 9.47psi at 6600rpm. With Fuel-cut @ 14.87psi

WRX ECU Z4 - 12.71psi, dropping to 11.78psi @ 6600rpm. Fuel-cut 15.65psi.

If it does work you must use super unleaded fuel and yes there is a speed limiter but not sure if it would apply in a uk as i think they use electronic speedo not mechanical.

Theres only one way to find out!
