WR1 Heads
Do WR1 use AVCS heads or normal heads?
|
WR1's are essentially a 2.0L STi so they have AVCS.

Excellent thanks for that :)

Running AVCS heads on a STI Type R Ver.5/6
Does anyone know what is required for me to run AVCS heads on my STI type R?
If it is at all possible!! Cheers:) |
Solenoids, wiring etc + an ECU that can control it (ie Solaris, Hydra).

Anyone know the specific name of the sensor/doodaa thing that is located on top of the gearbox that senses which gear you are in?

I will contact the mapper - he mentioned today there is a slight issue with the AVCS in that the variable timing effect tails off occasionally in 3rd and 4th gear, but not 5th/6th.
I should have listened more lol - I'll pop an email off. (sorry for the off topic) |
The faulty NPS usually causes the AVCS to switch off, leaving you with a smooth powerless STI, (relatively...)
