hi all when i put a lot of electrics on in car, ie air con,lights,rear screen heater,i get a twitching /screeching sound from the belt around the alternator or even the alternator itself,is this normal or does it need new belt ?also on the right pully when air con is on the middle part rotates for a while then stops,then starts,then stops at same intervals powering compressor i imagine but do they normally stop and start ?as winter is on way want anything sorted now rather than later.had my air con regassed and he said it was fine so me being parranoid as not noticed it before. :thumb:

the screeching will be the belt is it a bit loose?
the air con pump will swich itself on and off during use nothing unusual there

Had a similiar thing on mine. Easy job to retension the auxilary belt that runs the power steering/air con etc. Mine used to show up more on cold winters morning when the pullys were cold

thanks folks, had idea it was belt but the stop starting in pully i had not noticed,will tighten it up, nice one.
