2002 wrx 3rd gear gone
 

I was out last sunday for a spirited drive and on overtaking on a A road the gearbox went bang and i have no 3rd gear. The car was only driven about 5 miles home carefully using 2nd and 4th although 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th are fine.
I know when replacing 3rd gear you have to do 3rd and 4th...Anyone know where to get these from? Anyone do just 3rd and 4th second hand?
Or would it be better to just replce the box like for like?
Best place to get one from etc?

This is what i'm thinking but i'm worried about second hand box as to its life etc whether when it was taken off, maybe dropped etc

Need to get it back by christmas so no rush suppose i need to wait for the right one then

i have a 3rd & 4th gear knocking around. Do you know the gearbox code and i will make sure its the same ratio?

I have a good second hand box with 4.11 final drive ratio... no noisey bearings and selects all gears as it should

g/box code is.......EF-TY752 VB 3AA

My code is TY754VN2AA and must be the same so im told
