It's probably not too bad. I had a UK Turbo at 20 and looked at a few standard newage Stis when I was selling it at 21. Think the quotes were around £1500 fully comp.

if i could of insured a newer sti at 21, i would have!

Good to see someone working hard to get what they want, insurance hasn't changed much though, I remember paying £1500 for my Renault 19 16v when I was 24 and that was over ten years ago :)
