poor idle after refitting inlet manifold

Hello

I had to change the turbo intake pipe due to the original having a tear. (MY2000, UK Turbo). Ended up removing the inlet manifold which involved disconnecting electrial plugs and hoses etc.

Anyway, put it all back together (using new gaskets for the manifold) and now it idles roughly and I think is overfuelling (backfires occassionally and strong smell of fuel). It has not been driven.

I have checked the basics such as the spark plug leads are correctly attached and the clips on the injectors are correct (grey at front, black at rear?). Hoses are attached to fuel regulators and can't see any leaking fuel.

Any suggestions...

Thanks
Nick

These are the ones on the right (as you face the engine) and goes to the fuel filter? If so I've checked these.

Thanks

I'm pretty sure they are. Was careful putting it back together and have since checked all I can w/o removing the manifold.

Thanks

It's quite easy to dislodge the vac pipes on the purge control solonoid which is underneath the Inlet manifold when re-fitting the IM.

Is this actually part of the inlet manifold but on its underneath? I may not have seen this when refitting - and there was quite a bit of movement trying to get it back in place.

check the bolts have been tightened correctly on inlet manifold.

I had this and had but it cleared up after a drive. I presumed it was the heating that made the gaskets seal properly
