idle fluctuation when warming up

hi all

I have a 97/98 uk spec turbo and whilst its getting up to operating temperature and im in stop start traffic the revs sometimes flicker between 1000rpm and down below 500 rpm as if its going to stall. It hasnt stalled yet but is this going to get worse and what should I be checking

Cheers guys

sounds normal-ish to me, it should pick it self back up again to about 1k, my old zr turbo uesed to do this in the winter

My UK300 did the same thing a few weeks ago. It was a combination of 2 problems for me. One, the MAF sensor was knackered and had to be replaced, and the snd problem was a spring had broke in my dump valve and was leaking. It was the dump valve which seemed to cause the iratic idle though.

For me this was the Idle control valve, if you check the error code stored in the ecu it will help identify that for you, ICV error code is 24 IIRC.
