API Modified Exedy Clutch Group Buy

I approached David for a price on a famous API modified exedy clutch and he has said that if we can get 5 of us together he can do these for the price of....

£260 + the dreaded (VAT) so £299 all inc
Postage is £12 + the deaded (VAT) so £13.80 to most ENGLAND postcodes

These are 230mm (replaces 225mm) organic clutch capable of taking 400hp for all 5 sp cars up to 2006. A new clutch must be mated to a new flywheel or atleast one with a skim so he also has these flywheel options...

Skim £50.00 + VAT [ £57.50 inc ] + £50 surcharge until old flywheel returned - then complete instant refund for a like for like standard Subaru turbo flywheel.

APi lightweight version [ 7 kg's ] of standard flywheel, including bolts and pilot bearing - £120.00 + VAT [ £138.00 inc ]

Billet steel - 6Kg's: dynamically balanced with induction hardened starter ring gear at £225.00 + VAT [ £258.75 inc] outright purchase.

Carriage Clutch & flywheel £18.00 + VAT [ £20.70 inc ]

1) Wrighty - clutch only

The warranty is limited if the clutch if fitted to a used flywheel. Not voided, but it isn't a good idea to fit a new clutch on an old flywheel.

wrighty338 28 September 2009 12:56 PM

Dazza9t9 28 September 2009 01:28 PM

I am serisouly interested in this group buy, however I am in need of the clutch in the next few days I think.

Plus will it fit my 1994 wrx import with no mods apart from suspension and a stainless exhaust?

Remember what a clutch looks like ?:wonder:

Well they look like one of them:D

Seriously, Try:

API Engines, Subaru Impreza Specialists

Not all use the 6 spring centre, as we reline whatever comes from Japan. Most normally have the big 4 spring centre.

That'll be an AP Racing ceremetallic single plate paddle for that power and torque. lt'll need a billet flywheel too.

Costs are: £601.00 for the clutch including release bearing
£340.00 for billet steel 6 Kg's flywheel to suit

All plus VAT. No GB on that deal I am afraid.

But in my opinion that is the least unfriendly clutch you can use at that power level.
