Just bought a 99 T-reg micra 1.3i insperation.

Its got alloys, A/C, PAS, CD Player and other bits.

Anybody owned a micra and had any problems? or anything to look out for?

I used to drive my Mum's MY95 Nissan Micra 1.3 SLX. Generally it was really good apart from a couple of electrical problems. The fusebox for the lights had some sort of shorting problem and also the electronics for the distributor went AWOL.

I had fun in it for quite a few years!

attach a sparkler to the roof and light it before every journey
if your going to drive it like a dodgem car you may as well look like one...

have fun

I use to be a Sales Manager at a local Nissan Dealership and I'm sorry to say, but not that much went wrong with them.

No there's 2 of us  - pretend you've chipped the car by turning off the a/c for extra power up hills. :D

good choice :D micras dont have the same image of the other hatches like the saxo is a boy racer car and the micra is a shopping trolley (even thought imo they are oth the former). The 1.3 is as fast as the competition, ive seen a few beat vtr at santapod.

an air intake and stright through exhaust can see 85+ bhp at the wheels, not bad power/weight. check out www.micrasportsclub.co.uk for more.

Our garage = UK 22B, MY01 WRX (with all the 'tart' accesories) and a 1990 'G' reg Nissan Micra 1.0LS  It's done us proud, was our only car for the first 6 years/65,000 miles and apart from a new clutch, and the xorst rotting, it's been super. Has a pretty easy life now though, strangely we hardly ever choose those keys off the table anymore  ;)

I put 100 000 miles on a 95 one. In all those miles it had nothing but standard services and the only time it missed a beat was when dear wifey forgot what the fuel guage was for

Yep.

My first ever car was a Micra N reg - 96, Shape. Purchased in 97.
Nice car, simple to drive, nothing to it.
Was driving to work one day doing 40mph and the engine just stopped.
So I pulled into a layby using the momentum of the car.
Called out the RAC.
Problem - The Cam chain had broke.
Yes thats right, the Cam CHAIN.

The guy at the Nissan dealership said that it was a common fault!!!!
But no other faults after that.
Anyway got rid of it and bought a new Scoob in 2000.
