I live in Bournemouth with MY00 turbo, blue with standard everything so its not me...... but just thought I`d say Hi anyway.. Hopefully with some better weather on the way we will get a meet one day, as there are a few other regulars on the BBS.

RichB 29 January 2001 12:45 AM

Have a look on

bennetm 29 January 2001 09:24 AM

If you own a Blue V plate Impreza, gold wheels, and BIG spoiler, I'd like to know which type the soiler is. I spotted it in Bournemouth last night.

Thanks,

Mark.

bennetm 29 January 2001 10:30 AM

Er, so was that yours then?

bennetm 29 January 2001 05:31 PM

Cheers Rich,

The DRM spoilers were my dilemma actually, not sure if they will look too big. The one this guy had was a good size with the brake light at the tot so it might have been a 22B, im sure it was a 2 door.

The search continues...

bennetm 29 January 2001 07:05 PM

Thanks for that Roger, good to hear there are a few more of us, we've certainly got the roads for it! (out in the sticks)

If thats the black sti I think it is (tinted windows etc) you pass me every day. Nice car mate http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Mark

Not seen that one but I hope it wasn't doing the westover rd cruise!!

bennetm 30 January 2001 09:38 AM

No thankfully it wasn't, but it would be nice to see some of those Nova driving t****rs get a good punishing! I have to add that ive never done a lap and proud of it...

Mark

RichB 30 January 2001 09:51 AM

DMB,
There are two black v4 STis round here, if the one you see is filthy, has a dented wing, a ratlly front end http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif and a 'R**WRX' number plate then thats me http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
Where do I pass you?
Rich.

DMB 30 January 2001 07:01 PM

Rich B,

Almost certain it's you usually seen wallisdown rd mornings / lunchtimes. I'm the bloke in the silver my00 sport (it's an insurance thing) with the 16" turbo alloys and soon to be fitted prodrive rear box http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

Not noticed the dents / dirt though, usually to busy thinking "lucky b******d's got an sti".

Mark,

Got something against battered old vauxhalls doing 70 in a crowded street?

RichB 31 January 2001 09:53 AM

DBM, not me mate! http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif
I know who you mean though, thats an STi v5 Type R, me not that lucky a b****** unfortunately http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/frown.gif Mines a lowly v4 4 door, my spoiler is not big enough....
Its about time we organised a meet round here though!

Speaking of a meet, I don't know if Portsmouth is too far for you guys but have a look at this thread:

"would be nice to see some of those Nova driving t****rs get a good punishing! I have to add that ive never done a lap and proud of it..."

Oh dear! I do the occassional lap. Only because the exhaust sounds nice down those roads, esspecially past Slams.

I drive a Black 97 Turbo. Small wing though, but will get upgraded soon http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

sgould 31 January 2001 02:02 PM

Just to add. Dont try and race the black Ferrari 360.

Made a big mistake and got whoopped. Not sure why though http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif

bennetm 31 January 2001 04:39 PM

Fair enough, as long as you show the scum who's boss.
Someone needs to tell them spending £2k on a 1.3sr doesn't mean they can beat us! Have you seen the guy with the big intercooler vent? Obviously he's fitted a turbo and needs the whole bonnet redesigned?!

I would have thought you'd have won with all the twisty bits? What spoiler are you going for?

Mark

DMB 31 January 2001 07:25 PM

So wavings not going to do me any good then http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif
This thing everyone has with small spoilers just think at least you can see the old bill when they sneak up behind you.

A Bournemouth meet sound like a good idea http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif
anyone think of a good place??

Mark & Sgould

Back to the westover rd thing, if you have a decent car and do the occasional lap...fine. but to go round and round all night in a heap of Nova S*** with the dance music on your inadequate stereo distorting all over the place http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/mad.gif

And is it only me that gets "challenged" at the lights?? Do these people not know that no scoop means no turbo?? Why would we want to race them anyway? to prove the impreza is a better car?? we know that anyway http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Rant over http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif

RON 31 January 2001 09:43 PM

Right I reckon it's about time I joined in!
I drive a my00 in dbm, with an interesting plate http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif , I do the occasional 'lap'. A mate said that they had seen a scoob that looked like mine in town, with a 'scoob' related plate, it was light blue with blacked out windows and gold wheels (he's not a scoob buff).
I'm definately up for a meet more local than Portsmouth, although I went down there a while back and had a good time.
Anyone wanna say where and when, a good tip would be a sunday, and daylight hours (eh rich http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/wink.gif ) last time we tried we got three cars cos it was dark and saturday eve.
I hope to see a few more this time!
Ron

I hear you're a right Boy Racer!

Been winding up those Nova boys again? http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

RON 31 January 2001 10:17 PM

Yo Gussie
I dunno where you heard that,
I went from a Nova to the scoob, but I reckon I'm grown-up now, although some would say differently!

Hello DTM, Just to say i agree a bournemouth area meet is long overdue. Everywhere i drive you see the same cars so there must be quite a few of us. Our My98 wagon is blue and if you see it, the foxy lady driving it is my missus. She would never pass up a chance for a zoom up the A338 with another scoob.
off to France soon so maybe ill see you if we ever manage to arrange something. Paul

sgould 01 February 2001 09:34 AM

I get challenged all the time by boy racers in sh!tters (I know we all started off somewhere but we don't have to spend thousands making a sh!t car - SH1T)

Took the p1ss a bit when a metro tried to beat me http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/smile.gif I cant remember who won!

I am going to get the big rear wing, like the late STI versions.

bennetm 01 February 2001 10:36 AM

OK saw a different (I think) sonic blue 2 door in Broadstone this morning, gold wheels so probably Type R or 22B, still couldn't get a proper look. Flashed at him with no response! Unusual plate but not scoob related. Saw a couple of standard ones on my travels as well!

DMB 01 February 2001 09:44 PM

Mark are you some sort of magnet for unusual blue scoobs???? I only see black ones and they are never who I think they are http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/biggrin.gif

Sgould i bet that metro was a gta, blindingly quick them http://bbs.scoobynet.co.uk/rolleyes.gif

bennetm 01 February 2001 11:18 PM

DMB,

Just lucky I geuss, pretty low odds on 2 in a few days!
I know a couple of others not on here who would be interested in a meet.

Mark.

RON 02 February 2001 11:10 PM

Someone say where and when then! and we'll get it goin'.
I won't cos last time I did only three people bothered turning up.
See ya
Ron

bennetm 05 February 2001 12:44 PM

OK the light blue job I keep seeing was a 22B, I saw the guy parked up at Tower Park today. Very nice! And the blue Ferrari driving round Bournemouth is Darren Anderton's, I think...

Mark.

Sorry to revive this post again, but its nice to know who's who! Rich was that you I drove past near Parkstone about 5.30 - 6.00 last night? My windows were a bit misted. Mine's white, gold MIM's.

Mark

RichB 15 February 2001 01:03 PM

bennett,
yeah, probably was......was I shouting to my self and suffering from road rage? If so ...it was me! Late for a meeting....traffic between Poole and Bournemouth is a mare around 5.30!!!
I remember seeing another, can't remember where though...

You might have seen Chuck at Tower Park in the 22B, he hangs around the cinema, but there was another guy who had one in Parkstone, he used to post on here...

Come on then, when's this meet gonna happen???

How about 24th Feb, week on Saturday at the Bakers Arms again?

simon_prickett 15 February 2001 01:59 PM

I'd be interested in a Bournemouth meet, although I'm in Southampton.

Simon (red MY98 turbo wagon)
