aps caik fitting
i have a aps kit and going to fit it tommorow on to my v7 sti whatwould be the best way of doing it ie, inner wheel arch out or bumper of if anyone can shed any light on this or a photo i would be greatfull :thumb:

If its like the hyperflow kit then just undo and pull back the arch liner that covers the front inner wing/bumper. Its something like 6 trim buttons only that need taking off.
The car will also need raising to drop the front wheel down and out the way, but the wheel can stay on. This should give enough room to get the resonator out and allow the CAI pipework to be rotated into the right position. |
cheers butty it took me about 45 minutes was fairly easy i just jacked the car up and rolled the inner lining back for access easy as not to many hiccups thanks again

I would advise you take it very easy until the car is mapped for the kit. The aps can make a big difference to the air flow and certainly can cause an incorrect maf reading leading to a lean mixture> it doesnt always happen but there is some risk involved
|
Make sure the MAF is rescaled after you've fitted it. The increased airflow will make it run very lean and cause DET if not done

the car is having a afp 20g with ported headers etc done over the coming days then remap cheers guys
