spring sizes?

hi, i bought a set of standard kyb shocks and springs and started fitting them today buit the springs i have got are about 3 inches taller than the old ones?

is this because of the old springs being 14 years old or more likely the new springs are wrong?

found out the springs are wrong, they fit all the normal scoobs but not the wrx.
