Car Insurance
 

Just caught the end of story on the news last night, was i dreaming or did they say that you will have to have motor insurance, even if the car is off the road or SORN and it's a £1000 fine for non-compliance?

This is the case in France, you cannot put the car in your name unless you have insurance in place, there are docs to show also when selling to prove you have sold so you can cancel insurance, you cannot just tell an insurance co that you have insurance with someone else, you haev to prove it

It all sounds to me like the sort of proposal you might expect from those lefty PC Plonkers who unable to pass the test to get a licence themselves, or have not got the gumption to try it.
