Im running 225/35 falken 452's

And its my daily driver. So i use it everyday. You'll be surprised how easy it is to drive like that. Only things that catch is the splitter and bumper, and that's all plastic.

Ive driven ALOT worse in my time.

stevie1982 13 September 2009 09:56 PM

inthoughtwelive 13 September 2009 10:00 PM

:) Thanks Stevie.

Still havent got round to the lights. Not on my list at the moment. Besides i dont mind the orange too much.

Got a whole bunch of things in the post, so just concentrating on making them work first!

And thanks guys by the way. Really appreciate it.

You just drag over the speed bumps if you have to. But i normally don't need to. Its all about angle!

As for arch clearance, as ive said before in a previous post.

I had to drill out the spot welds on the inside of the arch, and prise them apart, hammer them up, and them re weld them, which gave me about another inch of clearance. Other wise i would have no hope on running tyre up in the arch like that.

I have also notched the chassis leg, to stop the drive shaft from rubbing

Ex dubber? What gave me away :)?

And thanks everybody by the way.

Yeah i moved from the world of VW and Audis, to Subaru's about 3 or 4 months ago. Feel like im pretty much out of my depth half the time, as its such a drastic change in everything.

p.s i was wondering if any of you guys could help me out. A while ago, after i dropped it a little more, i started to get 'juddering' on hard conering, as if somthing was rubbing, like the cv joint/drive shaft etc. I then discoverd that the bottom of my strut was leaning on my cv joing, on close to, and full lock. So i adjusted it acourdingly to stop this happaning, and it stop the 'juddering'

Anyway - recently i have fiddled around with camber, and the toe. I'e - given it a bunch more neg camber, and toed it in ever so slightly, and the 'juddering' has come back. The struts are still in the same place regarding where they sit above the CV joint. Any ideas to shed some light on this? As ive chopped and change set up 100 times or so, and getting pretty fed up, escpially has im happy with the way its handling atm.

Lower? Only a hovercraft is lower than that. Looks as mean as as Mr Mean winning the Worlds Meanest Man Competition, in Mean-eapolis.

Cool!
Could you post some side pics of the car?

bioforger 15 September 2009 01:21 AM

Scoobyslammed will be very jealous, having motors scraping along the ground was his manor.

inthoughtwelive 15 September 2009 08:23 AM

Thanks guys.

Its funny, its been alot more well received on here then NASIOC. In fact, asking question on there is a nightmare, and i basicually get shunned for asking questions about low.

Wheels are Rota Grids in 9.5x18 et32 up front and 33 at the rear, after some spacing.

I know the question i posted above, may be dificult to answer, due to not many of you guys running as low as this.

But if i could try and pin point it, that would help loads.

Thinking it could be the cv/shafts, as theyre at a bit of an angle, thats making the juddering, on heavy cornering.

Or has anybody had any problems with components rubbing or fouling? When they drop them? Or in hard cornering? I havent found any evidence so far, but if someone could tell me likley places, that would be very helpfull.
