FFS it's not difficult to understand ... only speak to Gary by phone or PM on here. Feel free to do otherwise but you have been warned you won't get as good a quote :cuckoo:

Yes he can be hard to get hold of, just keep trying!

Gary, I also sent you a pm in-between Christmas and new year but have had nothing back.

I have also used KM web enquiries form and had no response.

I have also used KM previously and had to use Jeremy because he was the guy that insured me on my Celica GT4 about 8 years ago.

When I insured my Impreza through KM Jeremy couldn't quote me and I had to pester you...........

Here I am again with another impreza.

What do I do Gary?

Cheers mate.

The website is not secure.

As I'm in I.T this is a personal gripe on lazy website design that can let a hacker view all the personal data you are fillling in, it should be secure. I have found very big companies guilty of this and have brought it to their attention.

The pop up box you fill your details in has a Http:// address not a Https:// The 's' is for secure (encrypted connection). You should also get a padlock at the bottom of the screen. But as it's a pop up without borders and address bar (a trick many sites who can't be bothered to secure them use).
It doesn't cost anything to run, just the time to set it up. It's not too difficult, I've made a secure webserver from my home over broadband.

The address of the pop up form is:
http://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/quote/

I just decided to try something and found there is a secure form.

https://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/quote/

But I got this message...
The site's security certificate has expired!
You attempted to reach www.keithmichaels.co.uk, but the server presented an expired certificate. No information is available to indicate whether that certificate has been compromised since its expiry. This means that Google Chrome cannot guarantee that you are communicating with www.keithmichaels.co.uk and not an attacker. You should not proceed.

Can you inform them and get it fixed please.

I need a quote for a Legacy GTB 1996 but your closed Saturdays.

A year on and website still not fixed / secure.

I wouldn't put my business with Keith Michaels - if that's indicative of the service (for new business), then I wouldn't trust them to ever help in a claim situation. A-Plan may not be the absolute cheapest, but their service is magnificent.

Gordo

I had a near idendical experience. I called for weeks, left messages and continued even after I was offered a very good deal by someone else as I keep reading how good Moley is.

Eventualy got to speak with him, spent a few mins giving details only to be refused point blank because I did not have a garage. The conversation was ended rather abrubtly and I was left feeling like I had the insurance world equivalent of Leprosy.

I understand if I don't meet criteria I can't get cover, that's OK but there is an awful lot to be said for good manners and customer service.

So, £380 less than my existing policy with added bonus of protected ncb, excess insurance & no extra charge for mods + like for like cover. Thanks very much A-Plan :thumb:

I'm not going to bother KM again, I just felt like some kind of pest in the end.

The details are the same as last year which is why I quoted them. (my insurance is due for renewal).

The pop up box you fill your details in has a Http:// address not a Https:// The 's' is for secure (encrypted connection). You should also get a padlock at the bottom or top of the screen. But as it's a pop up without borders and address bar you can't check it unless you have some knowledge of web design or at least a slightly advanced knowledge than the average surfer, and a bit of paranoia helps.

The address of the pop up form is:
http://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/quote/

I tried
https://www.keithmichaels.co.uk/quote/
and found there is a secure form so the link is wrong.

But I got this message from the secure form:
The site's security certificate has expired!

It looks like someone may have put the form unsecured so they avoided this error, not a good idea.

I hope fixing your website will get me a big discount :norty:

hi mate im with warwick davies at the mo and have been for the last 6 yrs but they wont let me put my other half on the insurance.she is 24 and has nearly 8 yrs no claims so my question is can you do me a deal with her as a second driver.she has her own car but due 2 smashing my knee in half yrs ago sometimes i just dont feel like driving but would still like to take the scoob out

matth76 17 April 2011 01:04 PM

I too tried several times to get hold of Garry last week when I was trying to insure my new STI. Left several messages with colleague and voicemail but got no response, like several others in here, so with regret I had to go with another company.

sach 18 April 2011 08:11 PM

Same here, can never get to speak to him the same as last year, always get voicemail and no reply from message left or post here etc, so had to go compare the meerkat at the moneysupermaket.
GTB now insured through the Insurance Factory with Zenith. Beat all other quotes including one from Keith Michaels, but maybe Gary could have got it cheaper I will never know and neither will he.

Blue by You 09 May 2011 11:58 AM

Big up for Gary and Keith Michaels.
Cheaper premium than last year and all mods included :thumb:

Pramas 17 May 2011 10:55 PM

top guys who i ended up insuring with, A plan did offer to price match but pff they shouldve offered the lower price 1st time around.
Only bad thing i found was gary was next to impossible to reach for me ( yes i know your busy but 3 weeks then cover run out is surely enough ! )
Anyways his colleague christian did me an excellent deal so overall iam happy with them :thumb:
PS remove the internet quote form, no1 ever rings back !

EOEUMC 24 May 2011 10:39 AM

Hi Moley

I have started a thread on the Insurance forum but no replies yet.
basically i am a fairly new owner and took out my insurance with First central...should have asked tham about Mods, because they will not entertain any mods. i want to cancel and hoping to get a quote from you, but i have no garage, car kept on drive! Does this mean there is no point asking you??! live in Cheshire...WA4...

LordChoc 02 August 2011 01:27 PM

Just had an excellent quote over the phone from Garry Moulson. Seriously impressive. If need to insure a Subaru, give him a go.

drewbie 02 August 2011 03:36 PM

Where do I find Garry Moulson please??

LordChoc 02 August 2011 03:50 PM

How to find Gary Moulson

He posted this at the top of this thread:

Please be aware that if you request an internet quote via the Keith Michaels website it WON'T be done by a Subaru specialist

If you then ring for a quote you'll have to be put through to the guy who processed the quote, NOT myself (even if you ask for me)

If you do need a quote please call 0208 6427868 and ask for Gary Moulson

You can pm me on here, but be aware i get alot of pm's, and can't get back to everyone
