Cake

Great, isnt it, I was initially sceptical about the slice of Coffee and Walnut that cam back as my thinking is that only Coffee should be Coffee flavoured, Coffee Revels come straight back out, I cant help it, would rather chew things removed from the underside of the dog but its a testament to cake that it can carry off such a hideous combination.

Coconut cake is the zenith, not too sweet with an Epic moat of Birds custard, again not too sweet, cake should leave you wanting that bit more sweetness, not overpower you with Sugar like something from Mr Kipling's.

Come on, lets talk cake....

It's up there with Tesco Chicken Hot Tikka Marsala curry (which I have just eaten as my reward for shopping) :D

I've never been a cake fan particularly.

But give me proper homemade apple pie, with a big scoop of ice cream and a hefty helping of custard and I'm there man

I must admit I do like cake. It invariably has to be home made cake though as I find shop cakes to sweet.
But what cake do I like best?...................................Oh boy, that's hard. I love coffeee cake, I love lemon cake and I love a nice fruit cake, oh and upside down apple cake and................................NO! there isn't a favourite, I just love cake

I'm not a sweet food person but a bit of cake occassionaly hits the spot. One of my customers makes orange or lemon cake with orange or lemon icing.... It bloody gorgeous!

Lemon drizzel cake is to die for :luvlove:

Anything with the name `cake` has my vote. Also, cake isnt only for lunch, or evening, as cake is a perfect morning meal. `Morning Cake` is a traditional meal at my old works.

Whether cheese, chocolate, lemon, anything in a cake format is delicious.

Im a cheese cake fan myself, or a sneaky fudge cake.

I know, superb innit, those massive ones from Costco, though not the best are pretty good, surprised no other vegatable cakes have emerged, Cabbage Cake, Broccoli cake, Turnip Cake, missing a trick there after the success of the carotty variety.

Cattle Cake is rubbish by the way.

I'm not really a cake-y biscuit-y person (I prefer savoury stuff:smug:), but I do like a bit of lemon drizzle with a nice sharp icing. :D

Good stuff Cake. There is a lady who makes cakes to sell in Brixham on the charity stalls and her Lemon Drizzle cake is truly outstanding!

Les :)
