Coilovers

Just wondering what coilovers people are running and why they chose that particular make?

Thinking i may need some for maximum adjustment but also wondering what the ride quality is like with them? can it be as comfy or as harsh as you like?

Tein Superstreets, too harsh for B-roads, my favourite lurking ground, but superb on track, maybe not stiff enough for race circuits tho'.

eibach pro street s coilovers. around a 900quid so not as cheap as the bc's but i have had mine on for nearly 3 yrs and they have coped fine with winter salt no corrosion worth mentioning.
they are only height adjustable ,fixed damper settings which never bothered me as i figure that eibach understand rebound and compression damping better than i do. really comfortable on bumpy b roads.

I'm waiting to find out what the BC's are like. Got to be an improvement on my tired rear shocks.

AST's are a good all rounder, i use mine for everyday driving and on the track and can easily be adjusted with 12 damper settings, although they are well over a grand

BC RM's here, was going the tein route but as dunx said a bit too harsh (and a 15 week wait for the super streets lol) really impressed with them for everyday use, see how they get on at the ring next week :)

i think im gonna trade my shock / spring set up for a coilover setup over winter.

but which ones i do not know.

wrighty338 14 September 2009 07:45 PM

quick q - can you adjust coilys so much you can go from track warrior to comfyish road car?

tanyatriangles 14 September 2009 07:47 PM

Can't answer, having never tracked the car, but they do have 30 settings;)
