T-Mobile and Orange to Merge

Not sure how I feel about that: I like T-Mobile as they seem to offer reasonable prices and quite good customer service. I had a bad experience with Orange a few years ago and as they are the dominant player I assume will just take the T-Mobile customer list and merge.

Yup i moved from orange to t-mobile about 12 years ago, due to them stopping my contract and trying to force me on a more expensive one :(

Im the other way round, I moved from T Mob and am happy with Orange lol

So much for the iPhone coming to 2 more UK networks lol

Been with T-Mobile for quite some time now. I just hope the merger improves service in some of those grey areas.

thats a surprise the last time i saw this it was vodafone buying t mobile but the said it would give one provider too much domminance in the industry.

merger another way for companies to make more money and down size on staff sad.

Tis a shame, but a sign of the times. Will still leave 4 carriers in the UK, but becoming the biggest might raise questions. But I reckon it will go ahead.

Just hope its nothing like when genie became oh poo, (O2)

It's much like the car industry - you don't know who owns what these days. O2 was taken over a couple of years ago by Telefonica which wasn't widely publicised at the time.

The same with banks although we all got a little more savvy as to who owned what last year when governments were underwriting our savings but only to a certain level for each organisation.
