REMOVING PAINT FROM CF?????
 
HI DOES ANYONE KNOW IF U CAN REMOVE PAINT FROM CARBON FIBRE OR WILL I HAVE TO PAINT OVER THE BLUE PAINT ON IT?

I've started doing something similar to a painted CF spoiler.
I'd seen some of the threads above and started with a mini hand sander using 400 grit papers. Next step will be 800 and then 1200 grit paper before spraying with lacquer to seal and reveal the CF weave.
The advice I found was that chemical paint removal could be tricky on CF and not totally successful.

what type of sander was it butty orbital/belt? dont fancy tryin to do it by hand lol

It was a little Bosch PSM 80 hand sander
