1TB Hard Drive

Wheres the cheapest place for the above?

Ebuyer seems the best bet?

Yep it probably is. They're about £55 now. Even the 1.5Tb disks are only about £80-90

Almost filled up my 3TB raid 5 array. . . . going to wait for the 2tb disks to come out then upgrade.

I've seen 1tb disks go for £45 keep an eye on ukhotdeals

The 2TB disks are out Western Digital 2TB Hard Drive SATA300 7200rpm 32MB Cache - OEM Caviar Green - Ebuyer

About the same price band as the 1tb's when they first came out. Give it 6 months :)

Aside from storing loads of media (mainly HD movies), why would a home user have a use for such a bit of kit?

I have a few TB worth of Pictures(family/cars/holidays etc before you ask lol)
A lot of films, car movies from track days etc, and Ive backed all my music up(I have a lot of cd`s), I know its close on 1tb of music as ive had a maxtor fail and ive had to add another drive to back that up,
I got a Hitachi for 52 quid.

I run 6 of these in my machine as of last month. Really pleased with them.

Beware of the 1.5Tb Seagate offering. I have had a couple of these fail on me.
