Handbrake light flickers under hard acceleration..?

Noticed this last night, handbrake light flicked on a few times during a hard 2nd gear acceleration run..?

Rear pads are very low (have replacements, just need the time..lol..:() any thoughts.

Having just done a quick search on here, low fluid looks likely- need to go and check that, once I get up..:lol1: Anything else, as I'm sure fluid is ok, even though rear pads are on the limit..:wonder:

As you have said, with the pads being low ur fluid level has dropped, when u boot it it will be swishing about so the float switch will think ur out of fluid.

Fluid is ok, but according to the owners manual it can come on as an indication of low fluid or worn pads..? I was under the impression that impreza's don't have pad warning lights/sensors, only the 'screech' indicator, which the rears are starting to emit..!?

The other thing is the 'float' does seem to stick a little when you push it down with your finger.
Q: If I start the engine and release the handbrake (chocking wheels..;)) so the 'handbrake' light goes out and then press this float down should the warning light come on..?

Doh, you beat me to it..:D
