NGK pfr7b's or stick to 6b's???

Hi all,

Serviced the scoob myself yesterday:

Millers 10w/40 Semi Engine oil
Genuine OEM Oil Filter
Fuel Filter
Panel Filter (Cleaned/Oiled)
Coolant change
Diff oil change (75w/90 Synthetic)
Gearbox oil change (75w/90 Synthetic)

I'm going to change the spark plugs, and purchased some PFR7b's. I understand these are a stage colder than the 6b's fitted. My question is, as I have a MY99 UK Turbo thats pretty standard (only engine mods are full decat/panel filter), should I stick to 6b's? Will fitting the 7b's cause any problems on standardish power?

Hi, I think you will be fine with the PFR7B's installed - make sure they are gapped to 0.7mm. Thats what I'm using in mine, not many mods either (V4 sti import) only induction kit and exhaust. I had PFR6B's installed and when I did the service as you have done I replaced them with PFR7B's - been running fine for 1000+ miles since then :)
