Mikkel I've given you 5 stars, even though it has taken you an unforgivable amount of time to populate your garage :p;):D

:lol1: Thanks mate.

I know, they changed the format of this place and I couldn't be arsed to fill it all in again. Plus I have been distracted by motorbikes this year and not spent much time with the car. I am finding myself drawn back to it now though, so time to put the finishing touches on it :)

:thumb: Haven't driven mine for ages, struggling to get to 1k miles this year.

Spent lot's of money on it though :wonder::lol1:

i have the Prodrive spoiler, its different and you dont see many about (altho its like marmite; love it or hate it....) if you lookin for something a bit different, the wrx bootlid looks quiet cool on the STI ive seen one around here in blue... or there is some JDM spoilers if you can get them imported.....there is also the GB270 spoiler, but if u dont want a high level then you want like it! lol

thats very very nice mate - ive often thought what the center peice wud look like black/carbon.... now i know...... totally awesome haha, doesnt look out of place at all, especially on the white car... i always try keep the colour palet to 2 colours at most, thats why i want to paint the wheels black and debadge the back.... car will just be black and blue then!

How did you do the carbon?
Are the prodrive and GB270 interchangable on the STI?

uk300scoob 23 August 2009 05:14 PM

if you put a gb270 spoiler on ur sti ur left with holes in ur boot lid

wrxwill05 23 August 2009 05:51 PM

lol thats a good point - it only uses the 4 mouting holes.... scrap that idea ;-)

uk300scoob 23 August 2009 06:37 PM

the gb270 was designed for wrx only cant be put on in place of an sti spoiler on an sti it leaves holes showing on boot lid, can easily be installed on an sti jap import that hasnt came with a spoiler or a spec D that has no high level spoiler, but the gb270 spoiler is really designed for to put in place of the 4 wrx boot lid holes in place of the wrx spoiler

the_big_1 23 August 2009 06:40 PM

I am guessing then on an sti spoiler can be fitted on an sti without filling
holes in. How was the carbon done?

can you make that abit more clearer :thumb:

the_big_1 23 August 2009 07:08 PM

I ment how was the carbon effect done on the car above? And that it looks like that on an sti, only an sti spoiler will fit without haveing to fill holes in

uk300scoob 23 August 2009 10:51 PM

if you want to fit an sti spoiler on a wrx you have to drill more holes for it to screw on, if you want to take an sti spoiler off to fit a gb270 spoiler on you are left with holes showing, and for the carbon on the spoiler he has got it painted or its vinyl put on it, but its just a standard sti spoiler on an sti, and yes if you take sti spoiler off you will be left with something like 10 holes in your boot lid so if you want a gb270 spoiler in place you have 6 holes left showing to fill in some how

scooby-tc 23 August 2009 11:03 PM

The spoiler on my car is genuine carbon fibre with just the ends painted,it isnt an effect its the real McCoy and isnt cheap but it certainly looks the part and weighs less than the OE iron board spoiler :thumb: the roof vane is also genuine carbon again with the ends painted to match

uk300scoob 23 August 2009 11:40 PM

yea thats good job you done there mate looks dif
