My new brakes - Porsche style!!

After yearning for a set of A/P's for ages, I went against the grain and managed to get hold of a set of Porsche GT3 Calipers and A/P 356mm Disc's at a good price 2nd hand(Powerstation kit)

Thanks to Ian at Godspeed for prepping and fitting them and Dannyboy for selling them to me:thumb:

Over the moon with them, still need to put a bit more mileage on them to clean up the disc's and they will be working 100%, the difference at the moment is excellent!

Here are some pics

These cost £1950 new!!! so no not a better deal in regards to price but they are supposed to be better than AP's. The caliper/pad is much bigger than the AP 6 pot's - You get what you pay for at the end of the day.

They look stunning Si, Just wished I could of justified keeping them but I'm glad they went to a good home.

No doubt they are great brakes but I would of painted out the Porsche logo, it just doesn't look right on anything else but a Porsche.

I know what you mean but they are Porsche brakes so no harm in leaving the name there really.

Sweet. They are Porsche brakes so hows iy any different to having brembo or Ap Written on them? Don't dare paint over that name!

simb 2 23 August 2009 12:56 PM

Thanks lads for all the positive comments, after 8 years of ownership i'm still loving it, the brakes are one of the finishing touches and somthing i've wanted for years:thumb::thumb:

Bigforger, I know what you mean I was having that dilema about the "Porsche", their actually stickers and not painted and they just did not look right off, needed a bit on contrast to break up the red.

The stopping power is great and can't wait for them to be 100% effective, will have to adjust my driving style slightly:D

Dan, did you get the Goodridges hoses I sent mate?
