Ive just spent the last hour reading the last 100 days worth of threads looking for info regarding the blitz induction filter as search is still down.
Having just fitted one to my car, some of the threads ive read are quite displeasing, although the majority seam to be problems with the MY99/00 model.

So my question is for you fellow MY98 dudes with Blitz induction, have you had any problems ref the MAF sensor (i know that its the wire type and is not as delicate as the MY99/00 Foil type)

can someone give me some good words in its favour please;) cause im beginning to like the noise it makes:D

cheers
chris

I've got a MY98, I've had a Blitz for about 10 months now, NO PROBLEMS! just give a rinse under the tap every few weeks, even if it doesn't look dirty.

I agree, great noise!

My STI4 has had a Blitz on it now for over 2 years.
No problems with MAF at all.
Great sounding filter.

MY98 and Blitz fitted for last two years with no problems :D I had all the induction pipework off recently as well and it was spotless inside which is contrary to what you might expect after reading some of the posts regarding the Blitz filtering ability.

seems all those threads about the blitz causing problems is just a myth then, or just MY99 cars

MY99 on have a different MAF sensor that is much more prone to going wonky (techie term!) and I wouldn't put a Blitz on them, or any induction kit for that matter.
