stainless steel headers

hi, i have a 53 plate wrx sti and have just had stainless steel headers fitted, it made a small improvement but a day later i seem to have lost a lot of power. its not blowing, anyone know what this could be?

What other mods do you have? You sure you haven't got over the initial 'i've spent money, it must be better'? these headers can reduce performance on standard/low tune cars, especially without a map.

hi, no engine mods yet, just confused as the first day i got it back it seemed to have made a small improvement, but now its not accelerating as well as it did with the old headers on that were blowing. feels like the turbo is not working

You shouldn't really have stainless/tubular headers unless your running over 400bhp.

A better option would have been ported headers from Harvey.

its probably not accelerating like it did because you will have lost some of the spool up from the turbo,as said before you really dont want to fit these until you are over 350bhp.
